The TEAN Journal was published from 2010 to 2025 as an online journal specifically aimed at teacher educators, with the intention of advancing research and scholarly activity in teacher education. On 1st August 2025 TEAN (Teacher Education Advancement Network) became incorporated into the British Educational Research Association (BERA) and now operates within that association as BERA Teacher Education Advancement Network (BERA TEAN).

This exciting step will enhance the support BERA TEAN can provide for teacher educators. However, as part of this transformation we have stopped submissions to the TEAN Journal and the BERA TEAN steering group is working to develop an exciting new publication and opportunity for teacher educators to publish professional articles. We intend that the new publication will continue the scholarly professional development purposes of the TEAN Journal but in a revised format.

We plan for the archive of the TEAN Journal to continue to be available online. No further submissions are invited for the TEAN Journal in its current format.
